Tall case brass dial clock, ca. 1785-1795.

Cherry tall-case clock. The hood has a molded pagoda top with pierced fretwork, three turned ball-and-spire finials on fluted plinths, a molded arch above the door, fluted columns at the front corners, and a glazed door with an astragal top. Waist with cove and ogee moldings at the top, fluted quarter columns at the front corners, and a case door with a shaped serpentine top. Base with cove and ovolo moldings at the top and ogee molding at the bottom. Engraved dial with roman hour numerals and arabic minute numerals, engraved scrolls in the chapter ring, and a moon phase dial in the lunette with engraved details. Inside the chapter ring there is an inset seconds dial with engraved embellishment, a calendar aperture, engraved ornament consisting of scrolls and acanthus leaves, and the inscription "Burnap E Windsor." Eight day movement.
